Commercial Air Conditioning

Prime Air AC designs and installs commercial air conditioning systems for offices, shops, hotels, restaurants, healthcare facilities and other commercial premises.

We can design systems for anything from a single commercial room to larger multi-zone properties, selecting equipment and capacities to suit the individual requirements of the building.

Commercial Air Conditioning for Different Businesses

Commercial air conditioning systems can be designed around the different requirements of each business and how the building is used.

Offices – heating and cooling for individual offices, open-plan areas, meeting rooms and reception spaces, designed around occupancy and working hours.

Hotels & Hospitality – air conditioning for bedrooms, reception areas, restaurants, bars and communal spaces, with individual temperature control where required.

Shops & Retail – systems designed to maintain comfortable conditions for customers and staff while considering glazing, entrances, lighting and internal heat loads.

Restaurants – air conditioning for dining areas, bars and customer spaces, designed around occupancy levels and additional heat generated within the premises.

Healthcare & Dental Practices – comfortable temperature control for treatment rooms, waiting areas, offices and other occupied spaces.

We can design systems for anything from a single commercial room to larger multi-zone properties, selecting equipment and capacities to suit the individual requirements of the building.

Split, Multi-Split, VRV & VRF Systems

Commercial air conditioning systems can be designed for anything from a single office or shop to larger buildings requiring heating and cooling across multiple areas.

Split Systems – connect one indoor unit to one outdoor unit and are ideal for individual offices, shops, meeting rooms and other smaller commercial spaces.

Multi-Split Systems – allow several indoor units to connect to a single outdoor unit, providing individual temperature control across multiple rooms while reducing the number of outdoor units required.

VRV & VRF Systems – designed for larger commercial properties where multiple indoor units and zones are required. These systems provide flexible temperature control and can accommodate longer pipework routes and more complex building layouts.

Indoor units can include wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, floor-mounted and concealed ducted units, allowing the system to be designed around the layout and appearance of the premises.

Prime Air AC can assess the property and recommend the most suitable system based on the required heating and cooling capacity, number of areas, building layout and installation requirements.

How We Design a Commercial Air Conditioning System

Every commercial property is different, so we design each air conditioning system around the building, how the space is used and the heating and cooling requirements of each area.

During the survey, we assess room sizes, occupancy levels, heat loads and required heating and cooling capacities to select appropriately sized equipment.

We consider indoor and outdoor unit positioning to provide effective air distribution while taking account of available space, access and the appearance of the installation.

Pipework routes, condensate drainage and electrical requirements are planned carefully to achieve a practical and reliable installation while keeping visible services to a minimum wherever possible.

We also consider noise levels, particularly where outdoor units are positioned close to neighbouring properties, offices, hotel bedrooms or other noise-sensitive areas.

For larger or multi-zone installations, we assess pipe lengths, system configuration, controls and future servicing access before recommending the most suitable split, multi-split, VRV or VRF system.

Our aim is to provide a commercial air conditioning system that is correctly sized, energy-efficient, practical to maintain and suited to the day-to-day requirements of the business.

Commercial Air Conditioning Maintenance & Repair

Regular maintenance helps commercial air conditioning systems operate efficiently, reliably and reduces the risk of unexpected breakdowns.

Prime Air AC provides commercial air conditioning servicing, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis for offices, shops, hotels, restaurants, healthcare premises and other commercial buildings.

During routine maintenance, we inspect and clean key components, check system operation, filters, condensate drainage and controls, and identify potential issues before they develop into more significant faults.

If a system develops a problem, we can provide fault finding and air conditioning repair, assessing the equipment and advising on the appropriate repair or replacement where required.

Planned maintenance can also help businesses maintain system performance and meet applicable F-Gas leak-checking requirements where these apply to the installed equipment.

Commercial Air Conditioning FAQs

What type of commercial air conditioning system do I need?
The most suitable system depends on the size and layout of the premises, number of areas requiring heating and cooling, occupancy levels and required capacity. Following a survey, we can recommend a suitable split, multi-split, VRV or VRF system.
Can commercial air conditioning provide heating as well as cooling?
Yes. Modern commercial air conditioning systems can provide both heating and cooling, allowing businesses to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the year.
What types of businesses do you install air conditioning for?
Prime Air AC provides commercial air conditioning for offices, shops, hotels, restaurants, healthcare and dental practices and other commercial premises. Each system is designed around the requirements and use of the building.
What types of indoor air conditioning units are available?
Options include wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, floor-mounted and concealed ducted indoor units. The most suitable type depends on the room layout, available ceiling or wall space, required air distribution and preferred appearance.
Do commercial air conditioning systems require regular maintenance?
Yes. Regular servicing and preventative maintenance can help keep systems operating efficiently and reliably, while allowing potential problems to be identified before they develop into more significant faults.
Do you repair commercial air conditioning systems?
Yes. Prime Air AC provides commercial air conditioning fault finding and repair. We can assess the equipment, identify the cause of the problem and advise on the appropriate repair or replacement where required.
Are F-Gas leak checks required for commercial air conditioning?
Some air conditioning systems are subject to statutory F-Gas leak-checking requirements depending on the type and quantity of refrigerant and the system configuration. Where applicable, the required checks can be incorporated into a planned maintenance programme.
